POLICE are hunting a gang of thieves after a string of incidents.

The two men pictured left are wanted in connection with two incidents at shops in Cheltenham town centre.

The first happened at a shop in Winchcombe Street in July 2009 while the second happened at a shop in the High Street in December 2009. A speaker and a games console remote were stolen during these incidents.

"We had a couple of guys work around the clock," said Roberts. "The guys that had been there all week were pretty much burned out because it wasn't an easy job. It was physical labor. When I saw the pictures (after the explosion) it was just gut wrenching because I got to know the workers over there. And when I realized my own cousin had passed away ..."

CONSERVATIVES in Stratford have selected their general election candidate in what will be seen as a victory for leader David Cameron's bid to improve diversity in his party.

Stratford-on-Avon Tories selected opinion pollster YouGov's co-founder, Nadhim Zahawi, to replace John Maples MP in the Warwickshire Conservative stronghold.

Tory party chairman Eric Pickles, during a visit to the Coventry Telegraph last week, said he and other national party bosses had picked the candidates on merit. KILKENNY may be eyeing a historic five in a row but Eddie Brennan says the pressure is on Tipperary this year.

Hurling's top two are finally set to play their eagerly awaited National League tie in Thurles tomorrow (2.30pm) after it was twice snowed off last month.

"They are a team that is keeping very quiet and going about their business and they will have a big say this year in the summer.

"The challenge is when the odds are stacked against you and you're playing against the best teams. That's what it's all about. You relish that every year.
