Police today warned women to be on the lookout for bag snatchers on mini motorbikes.
Smart Controller LD-SM-12-XIt follows an attempted theft of a student's handbag as she walked along West Denton Way, in Newcastle.
LED Light Bulb MR16-3WInspector Steve Robson said: "We want to highlight the incident to enable women walking in the area to be vigilant.
"A young woman's bag was grabbed from behind by someone who rode up on a mini motor.

"She was taken by surprise but she managed to hang on. The strap snapped and the thief rode off empty-handed."
